Bob's Chili Recipe

Serves two.

In a slow cooker, put:

8 oz. top sirloin, cubed
1 14-oz. can of black beans, rinsed
1 14-oz. can of tomato sauce
6 or 7 hot nacho jalapeno slices, diced and deseeded
3/4 T. ground cumin

Cook on low heat for five hours.

Serve with cornbread:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Mix together:

1 C. whole wheat flour
1/2 C. cornmeal
1/2 C. corn flour
1 T. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1 T. sugar

Mix together in a 2 C. measuring cup:

2 large eggs, beaten
1/3 C. vegetable oil
milk to reach the 2 C. line
3 T. melted butter

1/2 t. maple syrup Combine wet and dry ingredients.

Bake for 25 minutes.
